The extended functionality is the main reason I so much love WordPress. It is a very interesting blogging platform with numerous and wonderful plugins, both free and paid. In this post, I will be sharing with you, 6 good interactive plugins you can use on your WordPress blog to increase visitors interactions and keep them coming back.
Let us begin…
As the name implies, it allows you to conduct a poll on your WordPress blog and this encourages interaction on your blog. This plugin is easily customizable with its in-built templates and css styles. It also allows you to collect fedback from your site visitors.
2. Subscribe to Comments Plugin
This is a great plugin that allows your commenters to subscribe for email notification of subsequent comments left for the same post he/she has commented on. It also has a Subscription Manager feature where the subscribers can unsubscribe to certain posts, block all notifications or change their notification email address.
3. Popularity Contest Plugin
All what the Popularity Contest plugin does is, keep a count of your posts, categories, archive, comments and trackbacks, and uses them to determine which of your posts are most popular. Placing a popular post widget or letting your visitors see the popular posts on your blog can make them stay longer on your blog reading through them.
4. WP-Email Plugin
The WP-Email plugin allows people to recommend or send your blog posts to friends via email. Doing this will attract more visitors to your blog.
5. Comment Redirect Plugin
This plugin is very good in selling something to your blog commenters. It will redirect anyone that makes comment on your blog for the first time, to your desire page. You can redirect them to a page suggesting a product/service to them, ask them to subscribe to your blog, or to like you on facebook, follow you on twitter, join your google plus circles, or just anything you want.
6. Thank Me Later Plugin
I just came across this wonderful plugin few weeks ago. I made a search for this plugin when I got a Thank You Note from a blog I had dropped a comment on. I was so pleased seeing the owner thanking me for commenting on his blog, so I tried to find out how I can do the same. Then I found out about Thank Me Later Plugin. This plugin automatically send a pre-defined email (which you can edit) to those who leave a comment on your blog. Use it to say ‘Thanks’ to your blog commenters and also prompt them to further come back to your blog later.
I hope you did find one or two free interactive plugin to use on your WordPress blog to gain the attention of your blog visitors.
