Today, I will be talking on how you can easily parse your Google Adsense HTML code before integrating it into your template codes. Doing this can look overwhelming but I will be explaining this in a simple english.
Why Do We Have to Parse Our Google Adsense Code?
Simply to make the codes compatible. Before we can make use of Adsense ads in our blog post, it must be parsed. If you insert the code the way it was generated from your Adsense account into your blog template, the ads will not display correctly and this is also against Google Adsense TOS. That means you also risk a ban!
Although, Adsense frawn to editing or altering their codes, but some ‘little’ edits are acceptable. Little edits because we will only be replacing some HTML character with some entities, so that the code can become compatible and hence shows correctly on your blog.
Parsing Google Adsense HTML Code
After getting your Adsense code, we are going to parse it to make it compatible, shows correctly on our blog and when viewed using Page Source, it will still looks exactly has the generated code from Google.
See below for an example of how Adsense ad code looks like:
google_ad_client = “pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx”;
/* Large Rectangle */
google_ad_slot = “xxxxxxxxxx”;
google_ad_width = 336;
google_ad_height = 280;
Now, parsing is just changing some characters like the < to < and the > to > and then the quote sign (“) to ”
After parsing the above Google ad code, all the signsand ” must have been replaced. You can simply do this with a Notepad.
Follow this simple steps to parse your Google Adsense code:
1. Generate your code and paste it into a Notepad
2. Hit CTRL + H or Click Edit and select Replace
3. In the “Find what” box, enter the sign <
4. In the “Replace with” box, enter <
5. Then click Replace All.

That should do the trick. Now copy the already parsed Google Adsense code into your blog template.
