It is the dream of every blogger to create and design a proper and successful blog just like the pro but most end up creating a crap. Without doubt, to start a proper blog is kind of a tricky task which can become really difficult to do if you do not know exactly how to do it, but it is surely a quite easy task if you know how. However, it still needed your hard work to maintain the success of a blog.
Starting a blog is not the hard part here but how to make the blog looks professional. I already have the experience before and I want to share with you how you can start a proper blog like a pro the easy way without much difficulties on your part.
1 – Choose the Niche
One of the factors that will determine how successful your blog is, is your choosen niche. It is important to choose the right niche because once choosen, there is no turning back. In case you don’t get it, niche is the topic or topics you will be writing about on your blog and if your plan is a long term blogging and you wish to monetized your blog, then choosing a profitable and right niche becomes more important in creating a proper blog like a pro. However, here are some tips to help you choose the niche that will be right for you:
Choose what you like
To be frank, blogging is not that easy especially if you are kind of lazy just like me. So it is advisable to start a blog on what you really like. When you write what you like, there will be passion to keep writing and ideas will keep coming.
Choose what you capable of
Your blog’s reputation will have to depend on this factor. It is important because your readers will be looking upto you and if you are capable of delivering enough useful and quality contents to your readers, they will see you as a pro and will often visit your blog. If your blog reputation is high, your blog will be refer by so many person if they have some needs in the niche.
Choose conversion niche
The word conversion here means how many of your visitors turned buyers/earnings. This is important if you want to make money from your blog. Choosing a conversion niche should be picked carefully because some niches do not have high conversion rate. These days, the health, loan and business niches have a high conversion.
2 – Choose the Right Domain Name
Choosing the right domain name brings so many benefits. The domain name should go along with your type of blog and its contents.
It is important to choose the right domain name because this will depend on your whole blogging plan. Here I share with you some simple tips in choosing the right domain name.
Include Your Niche Keyword
My first tips to choosing the right domain name is putting your blog’s keyword(s) in your domain name. This is important when considering Search Engine Optimization (SEO). As it is been believe, organic traffic still remains the best in terms of getting traffic to your blog and including your keyword in the domain name, this will increase your chance of ranking high on different search engines (SE). Including your keyword in your domain also tells your blog visitors what they will be expecting before clicking your link.
Use Short Name
Using short names in your blog URL make it easier for your readers to easily remember your blog domain name. Although, short domain names will be easily remember and looks professional, but unfortunately, the sharp pro have picked most of them. Four letter domain name surely looks greater than 16 letter domain name – but the name should be meaningful of course. The 16 letters meaningful domain name is always more worthier than 4 letters meaningless domain name. So, try to have short meaningful domain name if possible.
Use Your Name
Yes of course, you can use your name as your blog domain name especially if you want to brand yourself. In my opinion, using name as domain name, more fit to personal blog in which you rumble about your personal things. But – of course there is always an exception – name using as domain name also can be success in any niche but usually need more effort.
