So before writing your next blog post, think about what you think searchers will be searching for in search engines (there are tools for this anyways), think about what your human visitors will like to read on your blog, and then optimize this together and form a captivating post title.
When writing your next post title…
1. Make sure it is not too long and not too short. I preferred 70 characters long.
2. Make sure your keywords are included in the title. This is very important.
3. Tweak it so that it can be different from other people’s post.
4. Make sure there is no sentence or grammar error.
5. Make sure it is readable and can be easily understood by your blog visitors.
If you fulfil all these requirements, you should not have any problem ranking high for your keywords in search engines. However, this is not the only requirement for ranking high on SEs, but it contribute to the factors.
Taking this exact post as an example with the above tips, let me analyse them one after the other:
1. The title of this post, thou long, but not too long – it has 73 characters long. Still in range right?
2. My keywords are rightly included. If you check the title very well, you can see my keywords. The keywords are
SEO Tips, High Traffic, Post Titles and Tags. As you can see, it has enough keywords to make me rank
higher on search engines and at the same time, I arranged it to be easily understood and readable by humans.
3. I have tweaked it to look different from others. Before I make a post on this blog, I will
first draft it, enter it into search engine to see if there is exact topic with mine, then I tweak it the more if I find one.
4. Check it very well, can you find any form of error?
